metal factoryFor the first time ever, bring in the new year with Heavy Metal. Bring in 2014 with Bangalore’s finest, Inner Sanctum, Theorized, Escher’s Knot, Bevar Sea and The Down Troddence. For once, ditch the DJ’s, come headbang/crowdsurf/mosh and welcome a Heavy Metal New Year.

Inner Sanctum

Inner Sanctum was formed in the early months of 2007. Chintan and Michael, the founder members having played with each other for several years decided to join forces and form a band that would best express their influences in music. Tejas who previously played for Premonition was roped in as the second guitar player. In search of a drummer and vocalist the trio auditioned several but zeroed in on Abhinav (ex Illusion) and Gaurav, thus completing the line up.  More info

Escher’s Knot

Escher’s Knot is a Metal outfit from Chennai formed in July 2009. Members of IIIrd Sovereign, Theorized, Ston’d and Blood&Iron get together in this experimental entity. More info

Bevar Sea

Bangalore-based stoner/doom/metal quintet Bevar Sea has been functional for the best part of three years now, having started out in 2008 and becoming a serious performing and recording act in late 2010, and having since gathered an unprecedented cult following in the country, as well as the doom circles abroad in such a short span of time.  More info

Theorized

Theorized is a Thrash Metal outfit from Bangalore, India. Though it was formed in 2005, the band has come a long way from playing happy chords at birthday parties to destroying pubs with their brand of thrash. It was around 2008 when things got a little serious after few changes in the line-up and they started developing their own sound with ‘strong’ inspirations from Nevermore, Death, Old Monk, Opeth, Exodus, Martyr, Haywards 5000, Meshuggah, Testament and the likes. The band has received an amazing response after the release of the debut E.P ‘False Hope Of Tyranny’ in January 2009, managing to sell more than 1000 copies all over the country and also abroad in Australia, USA, Canada and Japan without a record label.
