The party scene goes on and on, and this edition of Puma Loves Vinyl - Get Your Kicks On has a host of spin masters cranking up the sound through the evening. DJ Uri is a turntablist par excellence mixing the different subgenres of hip hop, funk and glitch, while adding effects and scratches through his set. Kohra ( Madhav Shorey) is known for foot stomping, head banging electronic dance music, with an expansive techno-spacey feel to it, which you can just submerge into. Then, there’s MIDIval Punditz, comprising of Delhi-based Tapan Raj and Gaurav Raina belting out organic Indian electronica. Finally, there’s BASSFoundation Roots, Delhi Sultanate’s solo project that relies purely on ol’ school vinyl for sound as an opposition to electronic sound, and makes rub-a-dub, dub and 90s dancehall seem that much more awesome!
