In between touring and performing with his supergroup Chickenfoot, prolific guitarist Joe Satriani finally took some time out to work on his 13th solo album. Titled “Unstoppable Momentum,” the album is slated for a May 6, 2022 release worldwide.

Sat wrote the album last year after completing a tour with Chickenfoot and a few performances with G3. “A very prolific and cathartic two months followed resulting in a bundle of new music I was very excited to get recorded,” says Sat. The final tracklist has 11 songs that he says are all, “heading in different directions and touching on a variety of musical influences.”

Like all his previous work, Sat’s work is nothing without his many collaborations. The album has been co-produced with AC/DC’s Mike Fraser. Artists featuring on the album include keyboardist Mike Keneally (Dethklok, Frank Zappa), drummer Vinnie Colauita (Sting) and bassist Chris Chaney (Jane’s Addiction).

Here’s the final tracklist:

Unstoppable Momentum
Can’t Go Back
Lies and Truths
Three Sheets to the Wind
I’ll Put a Stone on Your Cairn
A Door into Summer
Shine On American Dream
Jumpin’ In
Jumpin’ Out
The Weight of the World
A Celebration
