Comedy Cartel and Culture Shoq are happy to bring to you a series of awesome nights of stand up comedy featuring some of the best names in contemporary stand up comedy in the country.This week we come down upon Andheri,at the latest addition to the nightlife there, a quaint Irish Pub called Shamrock.
The Line Up:
Angad Singh Ranyal:
Angad is one of the upcoming talents in the local comedy circuit in Mumbai. He is a Sardar who was born in Libya, thus culturally confused. He also calls himself a pirated Sardar, because he can’t speak Punjabi to save his life. Comedy runs in his blood and slapstick comedy is his bread and butter.
Chris Lazarus:
Chris Lazarus is a hybrid between Christ and the local shady guy.Chris’s brand of humor is very self deprecating.He draws his current material based on the kind of stereotypes people label him with based on his looks. Chris comes across as someone who is naturally funny in that his humor comes out effortlessly.That coupled with a humble demeanor makes him a treat to watch.
Vipul Goyal:
Vipul Goyal is an Electrical Engineer from IIT Bombay. He worked as a Retail Analyst initially bit realised that his calling was in comedy. He mixed laughs and Entrepreneurship and soon founded the most unique HR firm “Humorously Yours” which has been pioneers in stand up comedy and Entertainment .Within a short span of time he has entertained the audience at all the major public platforms ranging from college festivals in India (IIMs,IITs, NITs) to their alumni meets, from the prestigious Comedy Store Mumbai to city concerts during Hyderabad Comedy Fest . and the recently concluded The Times of India Wassup Andheri Festival. Given his originality and clean witty content he is the most sought after stand up comic for the major corporate houses , TATA Communications , HDFC Ergo , Cognizant , Mahindra and Mahindra , Ferroro Rocher to name a few .He also has done International shows at Tanzania and Singapore. As he humorously puts it , he has the distinction of being the only stand up comic in India who performs in 4 different languages , English , Hindi , Java and C++ .
