The Swedes are attacking India again. This time, Swedish prog house superstar DJ Alesso will be headlining the two-day dance music festival, MTV Bloc Party to be held on January 18th and 19th, 2013. Alesso confirmed the news on his Twitter account earlier today saying, “(sic) Mumbai in January for MTV Bloc Party. Where else should we party in India?”
While Alesso threw open the question to music promotion companies in India of other prospective cities he could play at, the folks at MTV India are busy seeing their plans to fruition of the one-year-in-the-making music festival.
Also set to perform alongside Alesso are Turkish DJ Deniz Koyu, Aussie producer Opiuo, German singer/songwriter Cosmo Klein, German producer Jean Elan, house vet Simon Dunmore and house percussionist Shovell.
The festival will held at the tourist-friendly Juhu Beach in Mumbai. The tickets are priced at Rs 2,800 and Rs 3,200. You can book your tickets here.
