After propelling the mother of all teaser campaigns on his Twitter account, the India tour of Canadian DJ superstar Deadmau5 has finally been confirmed for March 2014. In a recent report in Rolling Stone India, oragnizers Percept Ltd’s Managing Director Shailendra Singh said, “Deadmau5 was a very awaited and exciting partnership for Sunburn. We are happy to be part of history when he goes live on 14th, 15th, 16th March 2014 in India. It will be beyond epic.” Deadmau5 will be playing Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru as part of the Sunburn Arena India tour, thar previously hosted artists like Hardwell, Avicii and even the Swedish House Mafia’s One Last Tour.
Even though both Deadmau5 and Percept are yet to officially announce the tour, the excitement has been building up since July on the artist’s Twitter account over tweets shared between Sunburn’s official Twitter ID and Deadmau5 hinting at a “major announcement.” Recently, Deadmau5 again engaged a fan query in the possibility of an India tour.
The five time Grammy-winning dance music producer and divo, Joel Zimmerman, otherwise known as Deadmau5, is as well known about his music as he is about his controversial outbursts on his favourite ranting space, Twitter. Only recently, he overtly shared his displeasure at being nominated for an MTV Europe Music Awards 2013.
