‘In the Year of the Pig’ by Emile de Antonio | 1968 | 101 min

This American documentary film about the origins of the Vietnam War was nominated for an Academy award for Best Documentary. The film, which is in black and white, contains much historical footage and many interviews. Produced during the Vietnam War, the film was greeted with hostility by many audiences, with bomb threats and vandalism directed at theatres that showed it.

This short film is an exploration of a cinematic portrait of the director’s grandmother who was born in Iran and now lives in India. The film endeavours to delve on the mystery of human existence. Oorvazi, a filmmaker and educator, is the Director of SBI Impresario Pvt. Ltd, a film production media company. Her DVD introduced the Michael Chekhov Acting Technique to India last year.
