Welsh alternative metal artists Skindred only recently released their video for the title-track of their fifth album, “Kill The Power” and it doesn’t really come off as too much of a surprise that the video is shot in India, since they were part of the recently concluded Bacardi NH7 Weekender, Pune roster. Between grabs of venturing through Mumbai in a taxicab interacting with a host of the city’s population, and jamming at Sitara Studios, Skindred seem to be having a whale of a good time making the video. With scenes like the band picking up guitarist Michael Fry up from a parked auto rickshaw to vocalist Benji Webbe teaching kids on the street how to hold up the devil’s horns and pass out fist bumps, the video is a perfect rendition of the randomness that is the city’s lifeline. Add to that a soundtrack as intense and catchy, and this new video captures both, the chaos of the city, and the aggression that is the band itself, a perfect jigsaw to each other.
