May 16, 2013, Mumbai: What’s a musical without a little theatrics. If you were at last week’s BOMB Thursdays, you’d find yourselves in the eye of the storm. Two girl acts took centre stage headlined by Kolkata-based eclectic threesome Space. Vocalists Tritha Sinha and Ritika Singh performed songs that bridged the gap between Baul folk, Punjabi folks, qawwali and a wee bit of jazz. There were thumb pianos, Tibetan bowl, the ol’ raspy duck whistle, hand drums, umbrellas, prop glasses and psych visuals being used to highlight the Jim Morrison backdrop during their hour-long set. The act was opened by city-based The Chudail & Demons.
