Another music in the hills festival property that joined the league of hill-station festivals last year, Frost Bite 2013 is back for a second edition. To be held in Manali over two days on June 22 and 23, 2013, the camping festival will play host to a mix of electronica, rock and metal acts. Psy trance indophile Skazi, Bengaluru rock vets Thermal And A Quarter and Mumbai metallers Bhayank Maut will be headlining the festival.
Organised by Chandigarh based music promotion company Filthy Rich Paupers Entertainment, Frost Bite was started to give musicians from Chandigarh, Simla, Jaipur and Delhi a platform to perform unlike most festivals where only festival-friendly and popular artists take stage. It was held inside the Daranghati Sanctuary, near Shimla in September, 2012. This year, however, festival organizers have managed to attract big names.
Returning for the second edition will be Delhi-based electronica act Toyz In Panic, DJ Vipul Angrish, Chandigarh metal act Wasted Soul and singer/songwriter Shubhank Sharma. Mumbai metallers Wired Anxiety will also be taking stage. The complete lineup is still being finalised.
The tickets for the fest are priced at Rs 3,000 for two days without tents and Rs 4,500 with tents. It’ll be the last of the music festivals from the current 2012 - 2013 seasons in the country. Not a bad way to rock out.
- Frost Bite 2013 will be held on June 22 and 23, 2013 at Morpheus Resorts, Manali, Himachal Pradesh. For more details and bookings, visit the event page here.
